San Telmo & Plaza de Mayo

A trip before the Iguazu adventure, our german group went to the oldest "barrio"(district) of Buenos Aires. Its called "San Telmo" and is pretty popular to tourists. Its located very central and near the obelisc and famous "plaza de Mayo".
San Telmo is also the district of tango and I was so happy watching a pair dancing tango to great music in the middle of a plaza.
You could notice that it was old: the buildings werent that tall and there even existed an old market hall full of antiquitatic shops & fruit and vegetable stands.

On our way back to the "subte"-the subway-we crossed the famous square "plaza de mayo" with a great view to the most popular sign of Buenos Aires: el obelisco.

there it is!
